⚠ Risk warning: memecoins are extremely speculative and can lose all their value; some cannot be sold. Leverage can liquidate you. Not financial advice.

How do I withdraw crypto from fomo?

Choose withdraw, pick the asset and network, paste the destination address and confirm. Double-check the network: sending on the wrong network can lose funds. You pay the network cost.

Can I withdraw to a bank account?

According to fomo's own guide, yes in supported regions: you link a bank account and it must be verified first.

Why can't I sell a token to withdraw?

If a token has very little liquidity, the sell may fail or have huge price impact. That is a property of the token, not of the withdrawal.

Can I export my keys instead?

fomo says wallets are self-custodial via Privy with exportable keys. See is fomo safe.

Step by step: crypto withdrawal

Open your balance, choose withdraw, select the asset and the network, paste the destination address, check the first and last characters, enter the amount and confirm. For a new address, send a small test first.

Choosing the right network

The receiving wallet or exchange must support the same network you send on. Sending USDC on Base to an address that only expects Solana USDC can lose funds. If in doubt, check the receiving platform's deposit page for the exact network.

Withdrawing to an exchange

To cash out via an exchange, copy its deposit address for the asset and network, withdraw from fomo, then sell on the exchange and withdraw to your bank there. Exchanges may require their own identity verification.

Bank withdrawals

In supported regions fomo lets you link a bank account; it must be verified before cash withdrawals work. Availability depends on your country.

If a withdrawal is stuck

Check the transaction on the chain's block explorer, confirm the network and address, and wait for confirmations. If it still does not arrive, contact fomo support with the transaction details. Never give anyone your login codes.

Tax and records

Keep your trade and withdrawal history. Crypto taxation depends on your country; selling, swapping and cashing out can all be taxable events.

Test your exit early

The best time to learn how withdrawals work is with a small amount in your first week, before you have significant funds in the app.

Network cheat sheet

Send USDC on Solana only to a Solana address, on Base only to an address that accepts Base, and so on. Exchanges list the networks they accept on their deposit page; if the network you plan to use isn't listed, don't send.

Account security checklist

Use a unique password and app-based two-factor authentication on the email or Apple/Google account you log in with. Never share login codes or private keys with anyone, including people claiming to be support. Bookmark the official domain and use it instead of search ads or links from DMs. Keep only trading money in a hot wallet.

Records and taxes

Selling, swapping and cashing out can all be taxable depending on where you live. Export or screenshot your history regularly; on-chain explorers show every transaction from your wallet address if you need to rebuild records.

Step-by-step: cashing out to a bank via an exchange

  1. On the exchange, open deposit, choose the asset (e.g. USDC) and the network it supports, copy the address.
  2. In fomo, withdraw that asset on the same network to that address; send a small test first.
  3. Wait for confirmations, then sell on the exchange.
  4. Withdraw to your bank from the exchange; it may ask for identity verification.

Common withdrawal mistakes

Wrong network, missing memo/tag where an exchange requires one, copying an address from a phishing page, and withdrawing everything at once to a new address without a test.

Keeping records

Save the transaction hash of each withdrawal; it proves the transfer on a block explorer if anything goes missing.

Memecoin glossary: the terms that cost beginners money

Liquidity: the funds in the pool you trade against; low liquidity means your own trade moves the price. Price impact: how much your order moves the price; shown as the difference between the quoted and the received amount. Slippage tolerance: the maximum price change you accept between submitting and confirming; set too high, it invites worse fills, set too low, trades fail. Market cap: price times circulating supply; a small market cap can move violently on small orders. Bonding curve: a pricing formula used by launchpads such as pump.fun where price rises with each buy until the coin graduates to a normal pool. Graduation / migration: when a launchpad coin moves to a regular liquidity pool. Rug pull: when insiders remove liquidity or dump supply, leaving holders unable to sell at any reasonable price. Honeypot: a token whose contract lets you buy but blocks or heavily taxes selling. MEV / front-running: bots that see your pending trade and trade around it to profit at your expense. Priority fee: an optional tip to get a transaction included faster. Contract address (CA): the unique on-chain identifier of a token; names and tickers can be copied, the address cannot.

Withdrawal checklist

Right asset, right network, right address (first and last characters), small test first, transaction hash saved, and an exchange that accepts that network.

How long do withdrawals take?

PLACEHOLDER: owner's measured withdrawal time (crypto and bank).
