Fomo app fees and fee calculator

fomo charges a percentage on each trade rather than a subscription. The standard spot rate is 0.50% with a minimum of about $0.95 per trade; with a referral code it is 0.45%. Because of the minimum, small trades cost much more than 0.50% in percentage terms. Use the calculator below.

What is the fomo trading fee?

Bar chart comparing platform trading fees

0.50% per spot trade, with a minimum of about $0.95 (reported by CoinCodex and several independent guides). With a referral code such as maxama the percentage drops 10% to 0.45%. The exact fee is always shown on the confirm screen before you trade, and that is the number that counts.

Why does the minimum fee matter?

A $0.95 minimum on a $20 buy is 4.75% of the trade, and you pay a fee again when you sell. The percentage fee only takes over above about $190 ($0.95 ÷ 0.50%). If you trade small amounts, the minimum, not the 0.50%, decides your cost.

Who pays gas?

fomo folds network costs into its fee on the chains where it sponsors gas; some guides report you also pay the network fee on certain EVM chains. Check the confirm screen for your chain.

Deposit and withdrawal fees

Crypto deposits are free apart from your sending wallet's network fee. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay deposits go through an on-ramp provider whose fee is shown before you pay. See fomo withdrawals.

What about perps fees?

Perps have their own, lower rate plus the protocol fee of the underlying venue. See fomo perps; verify the current rate in the app.

Worked examples

Bar chart comparing platform trading fees

At 0.50% and a $0.95 minimum: a $20 buy costs $0.95 (4.75%); a $100 buy costs $0.95 (0.95%); a $190 buy costs $0.95 (0.50%); a $500 buy costs $2.50; a $1,000 buy costs $5.00. With a code at 0.45%: $500 costs $2.25 and $1,000 costs $4.50. Remember a round trip (buy and sell) pays twice. These assume the minimum is unchanged by the code, which fomo does not document.

Fees are not your only cost: price impact and slippage

On thin memecoins the bigger cost is often price impact: your own buy pushes the price up, and your sell pushes it down. Independent testers report that on small, illiquid tokens fees plus price impact can eat a large share of a small trade. Look at the price impact on the confirm screen, and if it is high, trade smaller or skip the token.

How to keep fomo fees low

Use a referral code at sign-up (10% off). Avoid many tiny trades because of the minimum. Trade less often; every round trip pays twice. Prefer liquid tokens where price impact is small. For blue chips, check whether a lower rate applies in the app before trading.

Deposit costs in detail

Crypto deposits: fomo does not charge, but the wallet you send from pays its own network fee. Apple Pay, Google Pay and card: processed by an on-ramp provider whose fee is shown before you pay; fomo has advertised a $0 fee on the first Apple Pay buy in its own materials. Check the exact amount on the payment screen.

Withdrawal costs

Sending crypto out costs the network fee for that chain, which varies by chain and congestion. Bank withdrawals in supported regions need a verified bank account. See fomo withdrawal guide.

How fomo compares on cost

Terminals like Axiom, GMGN and Photon publish their own fee schedules and usually have you pay network and priority fees separately. Because schedules change, compare your typical trade size on each platform's current fee page rather than trusting old tables. Our comparisons: Axiom, GMGN, Photon, Moonshot.

Round-trip cost table

Trade sizePlatform fees, buy + sellAs % of tradeWith 10% referral discount
$25$1.907.60%$1.90
$100$1.901.90%$1.90
$250$2.501.00%$2.25
$1,000$10.001.00%$9.00
$5,000$50.001.00%$45.00

Platform fee only, at 0.50% per side, about $0.95 minimum. Network, priority and pool fees and price impact come on top. The fomo minimum is assumed unchanged by the discount (not documented).

How trade size changes what you really pay

Platform fees are only part of the cost. On every buy and sell you also pay network fees, sometimes a priority tip, the liquidity pool's own fee and price impact. Price impact grows as your order gets bigger relative to the pool's liquidity, which is why the same token can be cheap to buy for $50 and expensive for $5,000. Before any trade, look at the expected output on the confirm screen, not just the headline fee.

How fomo compares with terminals

Published per-side base fees: Axiom 0.95% net at the entry tier, GMGN 1%, Photon 1%, pump.fun bonding curve 1.25%. fomo's 0.50% is lower in percentage terms but its about $0.95 minimum makes small trades relatively expensive. Use the cross-platform calculator.

Records and taxes

Selling, swapping and cashing out can all be taxable depending on where you live. Export or screenshot your history regularly; on-chain explorers show every transaction from your wallet address if you need to rebuild records.

Memecoin glossary: the terms that cost beginners money

Liquidity: the funds in the pool you trade against; low liquidity means your own trade moves the price. Price impact: how much your order moves the price; shown as the difference between the quoted and the received amount. Slippage tolerance: the maximum price change you accept between submitting and confirming; set too high, it invites worse fills, set too low, trades fail. Market cap: price times circulating supply; a small market cap can move violently on small orders. Bonding curve: a pricing formula used by launchpads such as pump.fun where price rises with each buy until the coin graduates to a normal pool. Graduation / migration: when a launchpad coin moves to a regular liquidity pool. Rug pull: when insiders remove liquidity or dump supply, leaving holders unable to sell at any reasonable price. Honeypot: a token whose contract lets you buy but blocks or heavily taxes selling. MEV / front-running: bots that see your pending trade and trade around it to profit at your expense. Priority fee: an optional tip to get a transaction included faster. Contract address (CA): the unique on-chain identifier of a token; names and tickers can be copied, the address cannot.

Fee scenarios by trader type

Casual, $25–$50 trades: every buy and sell hits the about $0.95 minimum, so a round trip costs roughly $1.90, or 4–8% of the trade. Regular, $200–$500: the 0.50% rate applies; a code saves 10% of that. Larger, $1,000+: platform fees are 1% per round trip ($0.90 with a code); price impact on thin tokens usually matters more than the fee.

Hidden costs checklist

On-ramp fee on card/Apple Pay deposits (shown before paying); network fees on withdrawals; price impact on illiquid tokens; failed or late fills in volatile moments; and the opportunity cost of overtrading.

Questions people ask about fomo fees

Is there a fee to deposit crypto? fomo doesn't charge; the sending wallet pays its network fee. Is there a fee to hold? No subscription or custody fee is documented. Does the code reduce perps fees? fomo does not document this clearly; check the perps confirm screen.
